Mega Career Counseling- 2014 at YS Group of Institutes, Barnala

To impart right and timely guidance to the students of the area, YS Group of Institutes conducted a MEGA CAREER COUNSELING FEST on 2nd Feb, 2014 at the College Auditorium. TECHDREAMZ was among the panel of speakers and delivered a lecture about In Demand Career Tracks in Information Technology like Graphic Designing, Animation, Web Designing, Web Development, Ethical Hacking etc. and new upcoming technologies in computers to the students.

Lecture focused on GROWING SKILL GAP & IN-DEMAND CARRIER TRACKS IN IT.This session was a carrier guidance session for all students or people who want to make carrier in informtion technology.India produces more than five lakh engineers annually, but only 2.68 per cent of them meet skill requirements. In this session we discussed the growing skill gap in industries and the reasons why most of the students fail to get their dream jobs.We also discussed the technical skills required in different in demand IT career paths and how you can prepare for them.

Overview:

This session covered tools and technical skills required in different in demand IT career paths and how you can prepare for them. It helped students to explore career ﬁelds in Information Technology (IT). The guide focused on current and future job opportunities and also provided a connection to the colleges and school students to the corporate world of IT. Photos and working end product samples in this session showed the real work within the different tracks. Students were provided with career planning help and tools to develop their career interests.
